Two people were shot and critically wounded outside a funeral home Wednesday morning on Chicago's South Side.
Even still, authorities say a gunman brazenly shot at mourners with an extended clip attached to his weapon, making it automatic.
"A police car was right out front when all this happened and police witnessed it. They took off chasing after the guys," said an employee of the funeral home.More than 50 gunshots were fired from the vehicle, which was stolen, according to sources. The area is unfortunately a hot spot for crime. Alderman Hall said illegal guns, especially with extended clips, continue to plague Chicago streets.Police were able to recover surveillance video from the area, which will hopefully lead them to the shooter or shooters involved.
