2 gunmen carjack driver in Chula Vista [Breaking]
Two armed men carjacked another man at gunpoint Wednesday night on a residential road in Chula Vista, police said.
It happened about 10:35 p.m. on Park Way between Broadway and Fourth Avenue, Chula Vista police Lt. Jason Deaner said. The assailants were both armed with handguns when they stole the victim’s car, Deaner said. The victim was uninjured. Chula Vista officers, with help from a county Sheriff’s Department helicopter, were still looking for the car and the thieves late Wednesday night, Deaner said.
The stolen vehicle was a gray, 2010 Honda Civic with a cracked windshield and preexisting damage to the passenger’s side front door, Deaner said. It has California license plates 6PSH882.Anyone with information about the vehicle or the carjacking was asked to call Chula Vista police at 691-5151 or San Diego County Crime Stoppers’ anonymous tip line at 580-8477.
