Rochester, N.Y. — A teen already charged with murder following a fatal drive-by shooting outside a gas station in August now faces charges for a fatal shooting that happened Memorial Day weekend.Mootry was part of a roving party that started in Genesee Valley Park, according to police. Gunshots there prompted the party to move to Westgate Plaza in Gates, where police dispersed it.
Police said the party then moved to Holland Street, where Mootry was sitting in a vehicle when she was caught in the crossfire as gunshots rang out during an altercation. An indictment unsealed Wednesday revealed Stewart was charged with second-degree murder and two counts of criminal possession of a weapon.
