It has been 10 years in the making
A new development in Bramcote has been given the go-ahead. Some 169 homes are now set to be built on greenfield land off Coventry Lane, Bramcote, to the north west of Bramcote Crematorium.
Existing access from Coventry Lane will be reconfigured with a new double island on Coventry Lane/Ilkeston Road and a reduction of the speed limit on Coventry Lane from 50mph to 40mph. A new bus service will feed the development. “We hope to be able to start work in the spring and, with an estimated construction rate of 50 to 60 homes a year, the development should be completed within three years. It will hopefully bring a real boost to the area.”
