A 16-year-old was killed and three other individuals were injured in a shooting at an East Bay house party Saturday night, officials said.

The party occurred at a residence in Oakley, a small town in far east Contra Costa County. Oakley Police Department Chief Paul Beard said in a Facebook post Sunday night that officers were called to the party on the 400 block of Shannon Way for a report of a shooting just after 11 p.m. Officers rushed to the scene, which Beard described as “very chaotic,” and found four injured individuals with gunshot wounds and five ejected 9 mm shell casings. No arrests were made.

A witness told police that after police left the home, up to 30 more people showed up, but a locked door prevented them from entering the party, according to Beard. “The group entered the backyard through the side gate,” Beard wrote. “Shortly after, screaming was heard coming from inside the home and several people were seen running out the front door.” Five to six shots were heard at the front of the home, according to police and witness accounts.
