A 14-year-old male juvenile is in custody following the fatal shooting of a juvenile female in Driftwood, Texas. The incident occurred on Tuesday afternoon at a residence on Canna Lilly Circle. Both juveniles were reportedly residents of the home. The Travis County Medical Examiner’s Office has ruled the death a homicide.
A 14-year-old male juvenile is in custody after fatally shooting a juvenile female, according to the Hays County Sheriff’s Office. At approximately 4:56 p.m. Tuesday, deputies responded to a call reporting suspicious circumstances on Canna Lilly Circle in Driftwood, Texas . Deputies determined a 14-year-old male discharged a firearm, striking a juvenile female. Despite life-saving efforts, the female tragically succumbed to her injuries. Both juveniles reportedly resided in the home.
The male was taken into custody and transported to the Hays County Juvenile Detention Center. The Travis County Medical Examiner’s Office conducted an autopsy Wednesday and has ruled the manner of death as homicide. The investigation is active and ongoing.
