Sheldon may be the titular character of The Big Bang Theory prequel, but several Young Sheldon arcs were so much better that didn't involve him.
Despite being the titular character of the show, there are several great Young Sheldon narratives that don't include him. While the idea for Young Sheldon didn't start as a The Big Bang Theory spin-off, the involvement of Jim Parsons as a producer made it quite easy to retool the show to function as an origin story for Sheldon. In its earlier seasons, Young Sheldon stayed true to its title.

Despite their run-in with the law in the Young Sheldon season 5 finale, their business ventures remain strong. The pair worked closely together to keep the business going, and all things considered, they have been doing a great job.
7 Georgie Exploring His Entrepreneurial Abilities Before Georgie became the successful owner of Dr. Tire as seen in The Big Bang Theory, Young Sheldon tackles his humble beginnings as an aspiring entrepreneur. Throughout the course of the prequel series, the eldest Cooper kid has dabbled in various ways to set up a business. For instance, he tried selling Texas Snow Globes in season 3.
4 Paige’s Personal Arc Paige's dark Young Sheldon arc has been one of the most surprising ongoing plots in the family comedy. It's also the only plot line that doesn't revolve around any of the official members of the Cooper clan.
