Austral Gold (ASX: AGD) (TSXV: AGLD) (OTCQB: AGLDF) or the Company, a seasoned gold producer, has successfully concluded its previously announced private placement , securing A$8.456 million before costs. This was achieved through the issuance of 46,977,778 new fully paid ordinary shares at a price of A$0.18 per share.
Aitken Mount Capital Partners served as the sole Lead Manager for the Placement, facilitating the introduction of new Australian sophisticated and institutional investors to the Company. Following the receipt of regulatory approval from the TSX Venture Exchange, all committed funds have been received, and the new shares have been issued under the Company's existing placement capacity, in compliance with ASX Listing Rule 7.1A.\The funds raised through this placement are earmarked for strategic initiatives aimed at accelerating exploration programs in Argentina and Chile, alongside expanding the processing capabilities at its existing operations in Casposo and Guanaco. The Company intends to allocate these resources towards furthering exploration efforts near its 100%-owned processing facilities. This includes focusing on areas like the Manantiales Project in Argentina and the Juncal Project in Chile. A significant portion of the investment will be channeled into capital expenditure (capex) to enhance processing capacity at Casposo. This includes the acquisition and construction of a classification plant designed to process tailings, which will optimize resource utilization and potentially increase gold recovery. Simultaneously, plans are underway to elevate agitation leaching capacity at Guanaco through the addition of a second filter press. This strategic expansion is designed to enhance efficiency and production at the Guanaco mine.
