A shooting at a Wisconsin casino complex has left two people dead and one person seriously injured, according to police.
Police raced to the Oneida Casino complex, near Green Bay, Wisconsin, after being alerted to reports of shots fired at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday.
Officers shot and killed the gunman after he opened fire on three people inside the Duck Creek Restaurant, inside the Radisson Hotel, which is near the casino.
At a news conference, held just after midnight and recorded by WBAY, Brown County Sheriff's Office Lt. Kevin Pawlak confirmed two people had been killed, another was seriously injured and that the shooter himself had also been shot dead.
The shooter went into the restaurant, but the employee he was looking for was not there, and he then opened fire on other workers.
"It appears to be a targeted event, not a random shooting," said Pawlak. "It was targeting a specific victim who was not there, but he (the gunman) decided to still shoot some of the victim's friends or co-workers, it appears.
"So, he then shot two of the co-worker's friends, also deceased, and then there is one other victim who is seriously wounded and to our understanding he is somewhere down in Milwaukee, so undergoing surgery.
"So, in total, we have two victims who are deceased, one victim that is seriously injured and then the shooter himself is deceased."
Officers shot and killed the gunman outside the restaurant, according to the Green Bay Press-Gazette.
The Brown County Sheriff's Office and Oneida Police Department are now carrying out an investigation into the shooting.
Attorney General Josh Kaul later said in a tweet the situation was "contained" and there was no longer any threat posed to the community.

Following the shooting, Louise Cornelius, the gaming general manager at Oneida Casino, said the team's "hearts are breaking."
In a post uploaded to Facebook, Cornelius added: "It is with great distress that I post this message to our gaming employees and their families. Our hearts are breaking over the terrible incident that occurred this evening at the Radisson Hotel and Conference Center.
"Please know that support will be provided to all gaming employees who are affected by this situation."

On Twitter, Wisconsin Governor Tony Evers said: "Kathy and I were devastated to hear about the shooting at the Oneida Casino complex tonight. Our hearts, thoughts, and support go out to the Oneida Nation, the Ashwaubenon and Green Bay communities, and all those affected by this tragedy.
"While we are waiting for more information, we hope and pray those who were injured will recover and are grateful for the first responders who quickly responded to this situation."
