Three years ago, I wrote that Brexit would cause massive job losses, and this was clearly in line with the thinking of the CBI, the Bank of England, the IMF and many of the world’s financial institutions. Why is it only now that some parts of the government have finally realised that this might the case? More disturbingly, why do they still wish to continue along the path of self-destruction?

Is it not ironic that ship owners who register their tankers in offshore territories to avoid tax, should now require protection provided by the British tax payer in the form of the Royal Navy?

The latest rant from Nigel Farage appears to have had minimal coverage across the mainstream media. He has suggested that those in the civil service and the military be removed if they do not believe in the UK leaving the EU, presumably, without a deal.

When will the people of the UK wake up to the fact that this chaos has absolutely nothing to do with bananas or three-pin plugs? There is only one word for it: fascism.

I am not a big fan of president Donald Trump but the comments made by the former British ambassador to the US, Sir Kim Darroch, were utterly disrespectful. The ambassador’s main job is to enhance bilateral ties, further cooperation in myriad sectors from education, energy, environment to the military, economy, diplomatic, social, vocational, political and religious ties. In light of Sir Kim’s attacks on the Trump administration, his job has become untenable. Therefore, his resignation was apt and timely.

We need more bank holidays. I’ve got a great idea for one: the “leave Jeremy Corbyn alone” day.

It would be a strain on people like Tom Watson. But hey, it’s only one day, they’d cope!

I watched the BBC’s Panorama documentary on antisemitism within the Labour Party with interest and some revulsion on what seems to be happening within the party.

Jeremy Corbyn commented a while ago that Jews did not understand British irony. As a British Jew, I find it very ironic indeed that the apparent antisemitism being displayed within the party is leading Jewish people to believe that the existence of the state of Israel is essential for the safety of Jews around the world.
