In case you missed it, Miley Cyrus appeared on Saturday Night Live this weekend, performing live and accompanying (a slightly rogue choice of guest host) Elon Musk.
While some of the world gathered to see whether Elon would drop another mention of cryptocurrency Dogecoin (he did), others were here specifically for a Miley Cyrus mullet update.
The new iteration of her ever-evolving hair has, at this point, become more hotly anticipated than the next season of Stranger Things.
Long story short, last year, Miley cut in a platinum mullet (one which held important meaning, complementing her new glam-rock sonic vibe). Then, she cut it even shorter with help from her mum. Then, it became a bowl cut.
And thennn it evolved into my fave Miley lewk yet - an Oasis-meets Jamie Oliver style spiky semi-mullet.
While the naïve might say there's nowhere else to go from emulating early Jamie Oliver, those of us who've been following Miley's hair closely knew she'd have something up her sleeve for the SNL performance.
And, lo and behold, she did: a mohawk ponytail. Party and the front, party at the back. Swooshy. Spikey. It has it all.
I'm incredibly confused as to which parts of the hairstyle belong to Miley and which are hair pieces (I'm gonna assume that's a clip-in pony) - but you've got to hand it to Miles: she knows how to take her hair to the next lev.
Anyone else kinda considering a post-lockdown mullet RN?
