Love Island star and influencer Molly-Mae Hague has opened up about hiring "permanent" security for her apartment, after revealing that she doesn't feel safe following incidents including people turning up at her address.

The influencer revealed the move in her latest YouTube video, where she chatted candidly to fans about her decision to pay for "extremely high security for the apartment", including a permanent security car sat outside.

Molly-Mae went on to explain that she doesn't "really feel safe" in her apartment, adding that she has even had people turn up at her front gate after discovering where she lives.

She told fans, "I'm not sure I've mentioned this before but I now have to pay a lot of money a month for an extremely high security for the apartment. We had a few incidents, I just don't really feel safe anywhere anymore. I didn't feel safe in our last apartment, I don't really feel safe here.

"I don't really feel safe anywhere anymore because I just feel like no matter how much you try and keep your life private, when you're in the public eye your life is never private."

Molly also told fans about a scary incident involving somebody turning up at her address. She said, "The other day I actually had somebody turn up at the front gate, ringing the gate saying they'd travelled five hours to the town they knew I lived in, and then just drove all around where we live to find our house."

Detailing her new security system, Molly revealed she's arranged for a "permanent security car" to sit outside her apartment to make sure she feels "100% safe". She added, "when Tommy is here it's one thing but when I am here by myself I just want that reassurance that I am 100% safe."

Speculating on how she thinks people may have discovered her address, Molly explained, "It honestly baffles me. I have no understanding of how, but the amount of PR packages that I receive every day from people from all over the UK that know my address... I feel like one brand got hold of my address and they've just sent it round. That's what I feel like has happened because there's just no possible way that all these different people know my address."

However, the influencer made sure to stress that she's appreciative of receiving gifts from brands, before adding, "I'm sure you wouldn't like it if people knew where you guys lived and I never want to sound like I'm complaining, it's just one of those situations that are hard to explain."
