Zimbabwe is in the midst of a severe drought and over four million people are facing starvation.

HARARE - The World Food Program says the economic meltdown in Zimbabwe is affecting feeding programs to millions of hungry people.Due to the deterioration of an economy that brimmed with hope less than two years ago, many people in both urban and rural areas can no longer afford to put food on the table.UN to deliver food aid to Zimbabwe, fears 'major crisis'

“The economic situation makes it difficult for us to operate at cost-effective level. Almost every aspect of our operation, the cost has increased threefold, so it has a direct impact on the number of people we would reach. For example, transport costs we just did an analysis, the cost of contracting a contractor to move food from point A to B of about 100km has increased by 28 percent,” said WFP Zimbabwe director, Eddie Rowe.

The WFP Zimbabwe boss is also overwhelmed by the huge number of Zimbabweans who need food assistance.Livestock in some areas has also been affected by dry conditions.

We r going to be more crowded than we already are. How will our resources sustain 🤔

old news

When is enough enough. Why not just ask for assistance from SADEC or AU to administer the country for 10 years. This is why liberation movements should never govern.

N.

Zanu and its allies are a problem

Thats what happens when you dont respect property rights...

Stating the obvious

Because they chased all the white people away. The news media sure has a very short memory.

🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 and?

So when will they start begging the whites to come back ? The black only dream has turned to a nightmare 🤣🤣🤣 Beg England to take back control also Time to face the truth, no matter how racist Zimbabweans are, they just can't run their own country and feed their own people

Fake news!!! They have the land 😂😂😂😂

Zimbabweans blame South Africa for their collapsed Economy, South Africans blame Europeans for their economical instability.

Cry me a river. Zimbabweans and the RET and EWC are 100% to blame for their own suffering.

Well if South Africa doesn’t help, all Zimbabwean should move to South Africa, CyrilRamaphosa supports the rouge Zimbabwe government. Your politicians silence is deafening

How many meltdown does this country get to experience kanti? Is there even anything left to melt?

iTs bECauSe oF sAnCtIOnS

fiebiePup Ja well ag no fine. Same old African disasters

fiebiePup Coming to SA soon. CyrilRamaphosa

Farmers the World over are an asset to any country, contributing to employment and GDP. One needs to encourage Farmers into one's country to facilitate growth and food security.Chasing farmers away is not in the National interest.

God Bless Ian Smith . God Bless Rhodesia.

Zimbabwe hates the British and now wants help. Make a decision, your government ruined the country, look to them for help

Its bad......

Looks like SA is going the same way, they still won't involve ALL people who live in the country work together.

That was 10 years ago, now they are just a shadow of a country on the brink of imploding

What is responsible for this meltdown?

And then watch BorisJohnson DominicRaab WFP , the Zanu government will suddenly say they will not allow the aid in for some spurious reason like GM crops or import duties...then you will see the motive

DominicRaab BorisJohnson Final destination implies the bowl of the eater

Very sad that your politicians chased ur farmers away to Zambia. I’m sure your politicians aren’t going hungry.

BorisJohnson DominicRaab only agree to give cash if food is delivered via Durban, not Beira, and is delivered to depots and THEN TO FINAL DESTINATION by WFP and not to final destination by Zanu government

How many farmers were murdered and how many was removed from their farms?

I blame black monopoly capital who has been captured by Bell Pottinger

I am writing a book to be published soon: Why African leaders are useless

WFP is helping Zanu to continue this disaster and keeping Zanu in power as the Zanu thieves skim the food and cash. I know this as a fact. DominicRaab BorisJohnson do not fall for wfp Rouhani funeral tears

Do you think Malema and co. know this?

And South Africa is enjoying huge benefits from the meltdown

It's not the drought but the effects of Zanu PF policies, not least the theft of land from credible farmers
