DURBAN - Outgoing KwaZulu-Natal premier Sihle Zikalala is disputing claims that he betrayed former President Jacob Zuma and aligned himself with President Cyril Ramaphosa. Zikalala said he has backed Zuma since 2005 and that his support is organisational rather than personal.Zikalala resigned as premier just weeks after his bid to be re-elected as provincial ANC chairperson failed.READ:"I wish to make it clear that I have supported him since 2005 until today [Friday]. I supported him as a leader and someone who's sacrificed his life for South Africa to be liberated," he said.
"My support has never been personal but organisational. At no stage have ever tried to get a position for being associated with him. "Equally, I've never badmouthed other for because they didn't support him. This deceptive narrative further accuses myself in particular by suggesting that I've aligned myself with President Ramaphosa. It's should be noted that it's the tradition of the ANC that members should accept and work with the leadership. This is the principle of the movement."
It all about Zuma not about people of KZN

'I never betrayed Zuma,' says Sihle Zikalala as he quits as KZN premierSihle Zikala says he was not pushed out of the premier's position by the new leaders of the ANC in KwaZulu-Natal but left because of a perception spread in the province that he had betrayed former president Jacpob Zuma. So the Zuma cult still haunts & determines leadership politics in KZN? A mere rapist dimwit thief who isn't enjoying his pension cos of his crimes still influences politics of young leaders? Not even the oceans in south & north coasts can't get rid them of the Zuma cult? Did I read former president Jacpob Zuma, spell check please Subtle, gentle, soft touch to the door . The decision comes in the deep Nkandla forest.
