Defence and military veterans minister Thandi Modise during a media briefing on October 15 2021 about the hostage situation at the St George's Hotel in Pretoria. The disbanded Umkhonto we Sizwe Military Veterans Association has demanded the immediate release of 56 people arrested for allegedly holding two ministers and a deputy minister hostage.
Though the MKMVA was not part of the meeting as an organisation, it said on Saturday that some of its members were part of the meeting. “It was reasonable of them to have refused to engage with these substitutes because deputy president Mabuza is the directly designated person with the duty to address the concerns of military veterans,” said Niehaus.
He confirmed that 56 people were arrested and “they are likely to face charges of at least three counts of kidnapping”.
Or else🤷♂️😂😂😂😂😂
Time to stop toleraing lawlesness perpetrated under the guise of protest. Time to restore law and order.
The level of lawlessness in this country is alarming...you wouldn't know who really is in charge, the taxi operators or the gangs, the looters or the Indians assassins, or maybe the drug lords? Anarchy
There was no hostage situation..they locked the door and couldn't remember which comrade had the key !!!
Understand fully why the pigs on this ladies farm never stood a chance..Sad thing is this is type of leaders ANC give South Africa..Anc find this type capable..😁😁😁 Sad thing is South Africans support the party who put this type in leadership positions in South Africa 🤔
MK vets neh! 🤣😅
Carl Niehaus should be put on a constant check
If they stopped them from leaving, it was a hostage situation.
Indeed they should unite and fight for real freedom and justice in this Country not this artificial liberation of Cadres and they're families and friends now they jst throw every one in Prison for things they failed to do, Ministers conceded they were singing with combrades 🤷🏼♀️
In this country we deny everything even they are denying that today is Sunday.
Unbelievable!! A circus!! 🙂💕
