A video, which went viral on social media, shows cement covering the streets. Dust fills the air, causing low visibility for drivers and pedestrians. According to the police, the driver said he lost control of the vehicle because his brakes had failed. "At least seven people were injured, including a nine-year-old boy. They were all taken to various hospitals," Johannesburg Metropolitan Police Department spokesperson Wayne Minnaar told News24. The driver was charged with reckless and negligent driving.
