A truck driver was arrested after the truck he was driving crashed into 17 cars and a wall in Johannesburg on Wednesday. A video, which went viral on social media, shows cement covering the streets.According to the police, the driver said he lost control of the vehicle because his brakes had failed.
"At least seven people were injured, including a nine-year-old boy. They were all taken to various hospitals," Johannesburg Metropolitan Police Department spokesperson Wayne Minnaar told News24.
