Alleged Parliament arsonist Zandile Christmas Mafe returned to the Cape Town Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday, where a new charge – contravention of the Anti-Terrorism Bill – was added to his expansive charge sheet.As civil society calls for Mafe’s release, Advocate Dali Mpofu joined his legal team in his second court appearance and read from a medical report that the latter had been diagnosed with paranoid schizophrenia.

He threatened to go on a hunger strike if his bail hearing was delayed any further. He was returned to Pollsmoor Prison until a bed becomes available at the Valkenberg Hospital, which is currently full.

Times Live has already “broken” the news that he’s been diagnosed as schizophrenic 🤷‍♂️

Strange that July looters havent been charged accordingly
