Former president Jacob Zuma continues his fight for a permanent stay of his prosecution for corruption. Watch live.

Former president Jacob Zuma continues his fight for a permanent stay of his prosecution for corruption on Friday.

It comes after the criminal matter against Zuma and French arms company Thales was postponed this week to October 15 to allow the application to proceed. Advocate Anton Katz, SC, acting for Thales, is expected to deliver his reply to the State's arguments against the company's application for a stay of prosecution.

But the court is expected to first hear an application by Zuma's legal team to allow it to introduce a new piece of evidence, believed to be correspondence between the NPA and the Hawks in March 2018 - the same month charges were reinstated against Zuma. News24 has learnt that a letter, the contents of which are unclear, directly involves Zuma's contention that he is a victim of a political conspiracy that existed to push him out of politics.

He looks so funny😂😂😂😂😂

Zuma's defence is entirely political & inappropriate in a criminal trial!

I believe great people are the ones conspired against, if you aren't great or highly important what is there to conspire about?

Did you really have to use this picture 😂😂😂😂

WATCH LIVE: Will Zuma get a permanent stay of prosecution?Former president Jacob Zuma's application for a permanent stay of prosecution is expected to resume in the KwaZulu-Natal High Court in Pietermaritzburg. If he does, it means justice has not been served and the SA population has a right to be furious. This man asked for his day in court and has done nothing but try and stay out of court for the last 15 years. We all know he is GUILTY, we demand justice for this thief. Still not one ANC thief in jail for state capture. A hang-able offence 26 years ago. Still no justice! He is guilty and so are a number of other ANC members. If this fails, the our justice system is a farce.
