Amanda is the youngest inaugural poet in US history, joining a small group of famous poets that have gone before her, including Maya Angelou, Robert Frost, Elizabeth Alexander, and Richard Blanco "We will raise this wounded world into a wondrous one ... There is always light, if only we're brave enough to see it. If only we're brave enough to be it," Amanda said.
