CAPE TOWN - The elderly are more affected by COVID-19 than the young.But 81-year-old Nomalungelo Peter not only fought the virus, she overcame it.It was two days after her 81st birthday that Peter received the news that she had tested positive for the coronavirus.

“I contracted the virus from my granddaughter who was staying with me at the time. She’s a teacher and got the virus from the school she works at,” Peter said.“I used to pray all the time. I would tell God that he can’t allow this. I would demand that he can’t allow that I get sick”.
