US singer and TikTok star Nilla Allin’s recent trip to South Africa has been making waves on social media. Allin, who boasts 1.2 million followers on TikTok, arrived in the country on Sunday and has been exploring the Western Cape ever since.Allin’s trip began at the Inverdoorn Game Reserve, where she shared an Instagram post detailing her encounter with various wild animals.
‘I’ve been chased by lions, bullied by mice, and almost had to fight a Buffalo,’ she wrote, alongside a video of a lioness chasing the game vehicle she was on.In addition to her adventures in the wild, Allin has also been exploring the Western Cape’s rich cultural heritage. She visited the Rickety Bridge Winery in Franschhoek, where she learned that her family’s tour guide was a big fan of her music.
Allin has been embracing South African culture during her trip, and even shared a TikTok video in which she reveals that she has been given a South African name by her fans. ‘Y’all, I have been named by my people. I saw a few names. I saw Palesa, and then I saw Thembi, which is kind of cute. I like it. The first one I saw though was Thandeka. Thandi, for short… That was the first one that I saw, and I kind of just fell in love with it.’
