This is according to education MEC Panyaza Lesufi, who expressed outrage at the incidents. He said two people had been arrested in connection with the burning of schools in Soshanguve. TimesLIVE earlier reported that 22 schools had been torched or burgled. Three of the schools which were destroyed by fire are in Soshanguve. Burning of schools has to do with politics
Burgled I begrudgingly understand as the schools are a sitting target and people are going to get more desperate than normal. But vandalism and arson? The community know who they are. Yes, boredom breeds mischief, but if one wants to build an economy don't burn schools!!
