The raging taxi war between rival associations Cata and Codeta has seen innocent bystanders becoming victims.

They say they can't suffer alone if their vehicles aren't operating.

The Western Cape Government says 83 people have been murdered during taxi violence this year, with 24 killed in July alone. From Monday, one of the most dangerous routes between Bellville and Paarl will be shut for two months, in an effort to stop the killings.
