Njani when they contributed a whole chunk to Eskom being in its current state, haaisoka, they should just pay their electricity bills

Who is fooling Who here?

I am sure it doesn't refer to every resident of Soweto. As usual the minority probably causing problems for the majority. I sincerely hope that those who are legally prepaid are not included in general cuts. Something that annoys me with loadshedding when I have paid upfront.

Free loading at its finest.

This looks more like another EFF hate march, and more demands for free stuff.

The guy doing the interview can be a struggle leader... I still think they are entitled, but he's well spoken and knows his facts and sticks within those facts

They must pay up! Savages

No payment = No electricity !!!

Let us make RSA work. Give everything for free. We will all be equal in hunger, health and so on

& No to NON-PAYMENT: Services MUST be paid

Soweto will never have another good story to remember, apartheid is over yes thanks to soweto but now we need to move, pay electricity and move, mahala is over guys can't u understand? U strike for everything, don't u remember u are now criminals against development? Pay

Shouldve said 23 Soweto residents protesting.

Keep posting us so we can know which entrance we can use when come back from work my fellow sowetans

Say whaaaaaaaaaat 🤣!

When I think I buy electricity every now and then when I c this I get sick coz in my area they patrol and when they find you using izinyoka they cut everything

What's so special about them that they can't have electricity cuts? 🙄

Dramatic irony at its best.

Shame, let them march with the money they owe for electricity. Maybe all the people in South Africa who pays for their own monthly electricity usage must also march in protest against those who don't pay.

Smells of MYANC fanctions and EFFSouthAfrica . Sabotage underway

Soweto residents tend to hv des element of entitlement...get off yr high house n pay electricity

They drive the best cars in Soweto and all the homes have DSTV. Then they can pay for Electricity.

Welcome to active payers association of SA

That's it! That's how certain leaders in our society prey on the ignorance of our people to further destroy the very economy that's expected to create jobs for them. When your refusal to pay is part of the problems of maintaining Eskom, now Pravin is the cause. I can't think far

They gonna destroy the electricity lines then?

Some of the anc's teachings are coming back to haunt them, they created this culture of free-loading and sense of entitlement because short term, it secured them votes and here we witnessing the long term damages it created!🙏😕👎

Good, keep marching north until you reach the equator.

They are probably MYANC voters marching against themselves 🤣🤣🤣🤣we warned them

Why can’t they use their stockvel collection to buy Solar panels or alternative energy and stop being dependent on Eskom.

They must start paying for their electricity like the rest of us

Soweto Shutdown leaders distance themselves from WhatsApp voice noteThe organisers of the Soweto Shutdown have distanced themselves from a social media voice note that claims violence will be used to keep residents from going to work and school on Tuesday. The WhatsApp message went viral on Tuesday, leaving residents in a panic. In an interview with community radio station Jozi FM on Monday night the leaders of shutdown said though the voice note had made members of the public aware of the planned shut down, it did not come from them. Is it true or some people are just lazy to go to work?!? Leaders when they know they denied People have nothing to do, we are going to work tomorrow, we can't be used to fight their battles, we are paying electricity let them pay too 🙄
