South Africa Latest News, South Africa Headlines

Image:Expert vaccinologist Prof Shabir Madhi says one of the main things holding back South Africans from getting vaccinated is not just hesitancy, but apathy.

Madhi said though the rest of the world had acted against SA on the discovery and announcement of the variant, it was important for information on a disease evolving to be shared in real time.“We need more measured communication and we must put it into context when new variants emerge. Also more consultations among stakeholders so that public announcements are aligned with shared data on new variants as with Omicron,” he said.“Herd immunity is something that has passed us.

Madhi said it could not be emphasised more, vaccination is the only way people will not end up hospitalised, dead, or transmitting the virus.

Somethings are pointless in life and this just happens to be one of those.

Ironic that pro-vaxxers are able to tell exactly what my reasons are for not vaxxing without even knowing or asking me. Being labeled by the entitled, bring it on. I can buy a legit vaxx certificate(R200) just to get them off my case but I won't stoop that low.

We don't want vaccine so no debate..if we die we die.

Personally i just dont see the danger of covid 19.

Lol.

I think people still have a lot of concern i about how untested the vaccines are, the affect on natural immunity and the number of negative outcomes reported?

Apathy is the right word. There is sufficient evidence and information that makes people concerned and thus not have interest in vaccines as they pose a risk to humanity. We will refuse the jabs and remain unvaccinated. If death comes, let it come

Its simple we don't want to get vaccinated simple

I dont trust government...especially WHO...and these damn experts....because they are all captured by the Cabal...and instrumental pieces used to convince people...into vaccinating with this poison

Lol

the moment they prefix their story ka expert - mcm oho

People like speaking for us as if we cant speak for ourselves.

We don't trust our government, WHO and companies that manufacture the vaccine.

We are not hesitant but wide awake

Having buried a few people this year who got ill immediately after taking the first jab and then hospitalised and then dying due to complications, I realise the media and government are playing with our lives. Why can't Pfizer be held accountable for these deaths?

Abantu ABAFUNI nje, which part of that is hard to understand? Stop using rhetoric to justify your failure to lure people. There's been no adequate information that's been forthcoming re the vaccine.

There's is no transparency when it comes to Covid19 vaccines. The moment the government addresses that issue, all will go smooth. For now, Ramaphosa is playing 'Nanny Mcphee' on South African citizens.

apathy from what exactly and why does he find that there is generally lack of interest or enthusiasm around these vaccines, that is a research question that needs to be investigated and reported on rather than this gospel show they want all of us to be part of

I agree 🙂💕

Why skin lightening is still so popular in South AfricaThe products, promoted by media and cosmetic houses as 'pigment vanishing', have been perceived to be beneficial. In reality, most of them can be very dangerous. Women don't accept their appearance and built. Hence they go for nose, boob, bum, lips and tummy modifications. Fakeism is the order of the day and South African men don't marry those altered beings but prefer to jol around with.

You know it was said he escaped prison and when you read further about him, you will find that it is alleged that he didn't actually escape but he was working with corrupt officials to assist him to escape and his government helped too. Should have put broke out in quotes We have had violent prisoners serving long sentences ...never heard how they broke out ...here we have a Mozambican who should have been on an episode of Prison break A leopard will never lose its spots.Sorry for the animal analogy but thats how the saying goes.Clearly a criminal is a criminal and thats amount of jail time cures that.Harsher punishment is required to deter future no gooders to society.
