Cape Town - Human Settlements Water and Sanitation Minister Lindiwe Sisulu has defended her decision to hire ex-spy boss Mo Shaik and former head of the prosecuting authority Menzi Simelane at a cost of R1.9 million each. The two men are Sisulu’s special advisers and she said there was nothing wrong in hiring them. She said she followed the law and prescripts in the public service to hire Shaik and Simelane. Sisulu’s spokesperson Makhosini Mgitywa said Simelane and Shaik were qualified for the positions. Mgitywa said the salaries of Sisulu’s special advisers were “within the range prescribed by the Department of Public Service and Administration”. Read more: IOL News

Good, Minister Sisulu. Why must you be questioned? A whole President lied in Parliament and was never questioned. Those who dared try are now licking wounds from WMC attacks. She has guns She is insulting all South Africans! fireher How dare she! Patronage I dont like this lady anymore. I would like to see the day where they follow these procedures, local gov advise Provincial gov & prov gov advises National gov minister all in same portfolios, to create a from grassroots level to understand and execute level. Why pay special advisors? Waste of Tax Money.

I'm not surprised, ANC creates jobs 4 it's arrogant, incompetent cadres. It doesn't matter what HR procedures says, they break all rules. She went 2 Dirco with Semelane, Ndivhuwo Mabaya n entourage of support staff she demanded permanent jobs 4 them n subsequent overseas postings IndWorldThinker Stead fast

Corrupt to the core. Where us the accountability the ANC was talking about? Thanks God we never got this arrogant state liability as President This could be the beginning of her political demise.

Lindiwe Sisulu pledges R220m to address QwaQwa water woesDuring a visit to QwaQwa on Thursday, Sisulu acknowledged that it has taken too long to address the water challenges in the area.

She needs mob justice in the street Sure she is a sick puppy!! Why would she care if the voters and tax payers are not happy. She knows the numpties will vote for her and MYANC in 2021 and 2024 even as everything goes to shit This one is arrogant and stubborn. Naturally, she will support the less advantaged who are on the dodgy list.

She won't be a minister after next year's elections as most South Africans are so tired of her party Shaik has a fake PHD When will accountability become a valued and respected characteristic? Why don’t these politicians sit down and let the very same expensive advisors run the departments 🤷🏼‍♂️ ANC first and country last, we should have learned this by now.

Sisulu not at fault here, ANC is🙂 Ramaphosa is defeated, he can't Alone clean the ANC, voters must clean ANC
