OPINION | The latest piece of puzzle to fall into place in the grand scheme to capture the police is the interviewing of controversial Hawks' investigator Nyameko Xaba for the position of national head of investigations at IPID, writes vercingetorics.

There is a massive push under way to capture the police, headed by Police Minister Bheki Cele, argues the writer.

It is understandable why South Africans are not making any noise about Cele's audacious power grab adventurism. The media feeds us a daily menu of stories about severe graft such that we have lost our collective capacity to be shocked. If somebody has not stolen billions, we simply shrug our shoulders and continue with the business of life. But for obvious reasons, the capture of the police is something we all have to care and worry about deeply.
