They deserve it. There shouldn't be any discrimination

Most of street vendors are people from outside eg mozambicans

So how are we to verify and compensate prostitutes?

This shows that instead of preaching 'margilized bullshit for 24 hours a day'(even if it is true)... Preach to people about registering their small business, preach about teaching our people to book keep.

I can not believe this vendors they don't even pay tax or UIF that comes out of our salaries but now they want to also WANT TO ASK FOR MONEY THAT IS NOT RIGHT AND THEY PROPERLY GONNA GET THEY'RE WAY is not fair on our tax and UIF payers thats our money it will be stealing

Where will the money come from?

Only business operating are Pakistan spaza shop but south African comply with lockdown regulations.

We are all in the same boat, nobody should get special treatment. Everyone is losing income. Stop DEMANDING!!!!!!

I want compensation too

And I want a yacht a private jet and a mansion in Zimbali and throw in a few cases of whiskey while u at it

We all want compensation. We all want to go back to school / work. We all want a goddamn drink.

South Africa, we like things.

It makes no sense

Tax returns?

As ALL people's livelihoods have been disrupted...it is also clear that there are some people who use petty reasons to go out or some subtlety maneuvering to undermine the regulations........sadly some don't have a bigger picture

They must carry South African ID

It's only a matter of time before criminals start demanding compensation claiming there were no victims on the streets so their income was affected. Illegal immigrants trashed a church and still demanded another place to stay. So goes this dumb too liberal cOuNtRy.

Rightly so.

How about we support street vendors more than we do spaza shops during this lockdown?

I'll take some compensation as well

Talk about swindling.

Do street vendors pay taxes?

It is only fair. Government should have banned street vendors completely not to change their minds later. This flip flopping needs to stop.

Compensate informal trader's, they can't suffer because of the 10 selfish white people who brought Corona virus from Italy GovernmentZA

Why?

Next headline 'Shebeens want compensation'

Compensate everyone that's not working..would be wise

For what?

Moving forward can we work harder to fiscally educate people like this to build up emergency funds for these situations that are beyond anyone's control? Financial literacy is a necessity not an option.

Yes they must be compensated

Makes sense, we should have given them incentives already. Why must they beg for it? tito_mboweni Uguphi?

The ravages of the virus does not seem to bother them...until one of them is affected by the virus; then it is the governments fault!?

The ultimate compensation is that we all walk away alive.

I’ll send you the corona virus email address. Who is paying? We are all broke after this. Including government

Also want compensation for not being able to go to work

I also want, let the government give money to everyone.

Poor South Africa how people will live

Huh? For having been protecting them to the disease!

I hate to say this but every business is closed and there's no way of income, doesn't make street vendors any special.

Want want want....

We all demand a million rand in our bank accounts. Thank you.

I also want compensation, every body wants compensation.

That guy behind the lady, I can just tell he is saying 'o bua masepa wena'

Mandisa Mashego’s EFF exit and the political dilemma facing SA womenOPINION| History shows us time and again that patriarchy will not allow women to ascend to positions of significant authority and control, writes Philile Ntuli No one is entitled to a position of power, including men! Why is Mandisa turned into a victim of patriarchy while she openly contested for a position and lost? Was she not the Chair of the EFF in GP? The caucus leader of the party in GP? EFFSouthAfrica must deal with you! I fail to understand that this ferminist failled to write about NDZ being the first women to contest President of ANC. The piece is good but hei you could have said a lot about ANC going to a conference with a female slate but came back with one female in top 6. I agree with much of her arguments. But just one thing, Marshall Dlamini was not 'appointed' but elected as SG. Patriarchal attitudes are very entrenched in our societies and not only perpetuated by men but women themselves.
