The workshop will take place at Makhanda City Hall on Thursday from 5pm to 7:30pm

Rhodes University along with its Director of the Institute for Water Research will be hosting workshop where the IWR team will facilitate a process for residents of drought-stricken Makhanda to collaborate on how to overcome the water crisis currently facing the Eastern Cape town.

“The acute anxiety and impatience around water has mainly produced anger, blame and divisions. If we share knowledge and perspectives, and appreciate the magnitude of our water challenge, we can transform destructive divisive blame into greater tolerance and committed, effective, collective action.” In recognition of her engaged research, Palmer received the 2018 Vice Chancellor’s Distinguished Award for Community Engagement.

You get what you vote for and you vote for what you get. The people have another 4 years (making it 30 years) to wake up to the fact that the ANC is for the party - collective and not for the people. Tragic. No payment......'NO AID'....SIMPLE!!!!

Dis nou wat n mens n gegewe perd in die bek kyk noem. Obviously the R10 mil already has a boss. A cadre boss. Gift of the Givers discovered water and the government is now stealing their discovery, just like they are stealing your taxes and land. Of course they knew the risks, but the pullout is not about not being paid but rather the payment of 'local suppliers' for work done by GiftoftheGivers ... it's about principal of the matter.
