JOHANNESBURG - following the recent looting. Mboweni was giving an update on the relief package that was announced by President Cyril Ramaphosa on Sunday."As you are aware, the president has instructed and ordered police and the SANDF to assist in bringing peace and stability, which is important," Mboweni said.
"To that extent, we are allocating additional amount for the police, some R250-million and R700-million for the SANDF for them to be able to perform and to execute this task which has been given to them by the president of the republic."
Somebody help me to understand, government employees bill is too high it had been said, yet they can spend so much in the police & defence force. How about the rest of other departments ( we were made made to believe we are essential due COVID-19 but no reward or compensation)
