Last time I checked the conditions of a license is setting aside the money to wind a mine down. I suspect it's more of someone in government chowing that money.

There was no plan during JZ years to inspect ,prosecute owners. Mosebenzi,others before him busy assisting looting look now how expensive to rehabilitate these hell pits

Need R49bln from where? What's the legal obligation of the mine ?

Where is the mandatory rehabilitation trust money.....

Project Africa continues. They came they took now we have deal with gaping scars they left.

Why should tax payers foot this bill? Granting a mining license should prescribe rehabilitation post operation otherwise criminal charges should be laid

The very same government knows who those owners are and if they are serious those owners should be arrested but because it's their cadres nothing will be done.
