Advocate Lynnette Marais during her interview in Parliament, on Wednesday, for the position of Public Protector. The candidates vying to be appointed the country’s next Public Protector have raised concerns about the low morale and poor quality of investigations at the Chapter 9 institution.

Mkhwebane has been criticised for the quality of her investigations, which have been overturned by the courts on several occasions.
