PSL confirm Kaizer Chiefs charged for DStv Prem no-show

The PSL has confirmed that Kaizer Chiefs have been charged for failing to honour two DStv Premiership fixtures, with the Soweto giants facing a stern punishment and possible points deduction.

Chiefs had requested the postponement of the club's December fixtures after a debilitating Covid-19 outbreak which resulted in 36 positive cases. The Soweto giants then communicated that it was unable to honour their two fixtures at home to Cape Town City before an away clash to Golden Arrows.The league has confirmed now that charges have been made against Chiefs after initially rejecting their postponement request.

I can confirm that Kaizer Chiefs football club has been charged in relation to their non-fulfilment of the two fixtures," PSL prosecutor Zola Majavu said."That case has also been enrolled for hearing for the 21st of January at 16:00. As soon as these matters have been finalised, I will once again communicate the outcomes thereof.

"Alternatively, if there are any developments in relation to these matters I will similarly communicate those."

Kaizer Chiefs must lay a formal complain against PSL through FIFA.

So Coronavirus is not taken seriously by the PSL? WTF 🤔 Minister of Health must be engaged in this matter.

I always thought PSL was professional but I was wrong, best leagues around the world postpone matches due to covid why can't PSL do the same, it's time those grannies & oupas to vacate office for young people, they are destroying the PSL image,age is catching
