The first casualty of the Covid-19 personal protective equipment scandal in Gauteng, former health MEC Bandile Masuku, is fighting back in court, condemning the Special Investigating Unit's findings against him as"garbage". In a 123-page affidavit submitted in an urgent application in the Pretoria high court on Friday, Masuku has gone to court to set aside adverse findings in two letters from the SIU to Gauteng premier David Makhura that formed the basis of the decision to fire him. Garbage is a so-called Dr who recommended that multiple cemeteries be dug in advance for GP residents who were expected to die en masse! Now that was garbage to a superlative degree! Only if service to the people could be rendered in the same fashion then GP would be great again!

Only the ANC can turn an epidemic into a looting opportunity and then into a legal squabble over the proceeds when they are caught out.
