Patosi was spotted partaking in training sessions at his former club that sparked transfer speculation of a possible return.

Adding to the increasing speculation is that the 29-year-old attacking midfielder's contract with Iranian club Foolad who campaign in the Persian Gulf Pro-League is believed to be expiring soon.Patosi played 29 times in all competitions for Foolad in the 2021/22 season where he scored eight goals and provided five assists.

"No, nothing is happening at the moment hey, every off-season in Iran he comes to Cape Town and has some training sessions with us when he's off, that's the same as every other year that he's been there," CT City media officer Julian Bailey tells KickOff."The last few years, he's been joining us for pre-season because they start a lot later than us.

"I'm sure the chairman is beefing up, but with Patosi at the moment, it's the same as every year, training with us."
