South Africa has been under a nationwide lockdown since late March, which has resulted in people losing their income.

“These dispensements have been in lieu of salaries that could not be paid or a top-up where salaries have been reduced,” Nxesi said.

The minister said government will continue to process April applications as well as resolve the outstanding queries. He further stated that the May applications are back on track after a glitch in capturing online temporary relief fund claims this month. According to the minister, a damaged fibre link between the UIF offices and the State Information and Technology Agency's data centre caused the glitch.

South Africa will move to alert level three of the lockdown from 1 June and Nxesi believes this will ease the financial burden of the UIF.Help protect your loved ones by sharing this officialThe NICD has another Clinician Hotline to improve #COVID19 communication and support for healthcare providers. Still waiting for mine

Where did the billions come from Many businesses did not pay over their UIF money, so employees didn’t receive! What about them?

Unamanga lobaba

May's applications is now open and still waiting on April's am I going to get double or have to wait till july to get May's coz April's dont seem to be coming

HeidiGiokos Can the minister breakdown the R15BN please😂

But companies don't want to give the money to the employees and we've raising this is the government officials but nothing happened but at first Mr president said they going to deal with corrup companies decisively

This is a lie.

Clearly maths is not their strong suite. Hey maybe that is how Zuma did it. 3 million for you and 15 twenty three hundred billion for me.

Government and the media can easily lie to people. Look at Sassa. They said they managed to pay 10 people but no one has come forward or witness that they got paid those 350.. Same as this Uif many people I know are still waiting.

Bullshit!

HeidiGiokos But we are still waiting here!!!!

Who are those people because we have 3 moths having applied no help to date

We even lost hope from the unions we deserve that money Mr Nxesi intervine

We only have access to view our monies on UIF App these people don't want to give us money please government we your intervention as Mr president said last time please

This guy is talking kak

But Mr minister do you know the pain employees are going through, or just bragging about this, There's H and M one of the biggest retail leading companies does not want to pay their staff money from uif, what are you doing about this. Rather shut up

😡😡😡😡?

It’s not a gift but loads of depts with massive interest to African countries , high interest rates to africa bs US , Uk the more you borrow money the more Africans gets oppressive treatment from those you owe. uif

Then why the Vaal offices were closed last two weeks. People told to come back on the 1st?

Can this be verified and open for audits to check who has been paid cause some of small companies are still waiting

That is R5000 per person I think this guy is talking 🐂💩

There are many claims that has not paid. Some staff get and others did not. It comes in drips and dabs. Reject, Resubmit and resubmit and resubmit. Government talks and nothing happens.

Has anyone heard from OfficialSASSA? 🤔 🤔 🤔

Still waiting.

To which account coz we hv not received any cent,

Still waiting for mine

Still waiting for TERS

Average of R5000 each? That doesn't sound right. UIF only pays out about 1/3 of salaries and has a cut off around R18000. I'd like to know how they calculated this.

Still waiting for April and May but some employees have been paid 😔

Msuna wakho wena Nxesi

No man this makes no sense!

HeidiGiokos People have been waiting since day 1 of lockdown. Why he lying. They gave money to companies to pay people and not the people

This doesn’t add up.

Amanga angaka

15 billion to more than 3 million 🤔🤔🤔 was each person getting half a million or what. Try to get it clearer. 900 million makes 1 billion..so 15 Billion. If all the people where say 10 million, how much was each paid?

That is questionable you mean everyone got an average of R5,000/person?

I got paid yesterday for April ... not sure if I’ll stil get it for May

Thulas Nxesi please tell your fellow colleague to do the same about R350s tuu

the more you spreading lies on the media the more you are losing supporters -people are not stupid

Can labour department open for maternity benefits moms as we do not qualify for social grant

I wonder who are those people.

I am have not received mines since April and May. The company that I am working for doesn't want to provide me with reason for my 'application not being processed ' please advice what can I do to solve this?

I wonder how much did corrupt cadre got out of this deal.

And my mom is still waiting 😭

Still waiting for April and May

That's Good news is their Mani

And I am still waiting

UIF delaying Ters benefits is 'a ticking time bomb', warns DAThe DA says processing applications for the Covid-19 Temporary Employer/Employee Relief Scheme (Ters) for May should have started in the middle of the month, as the UIF apologises for a ‘freak break’ in its system. A ticking time bomb indeed. Gov is oblivious to a shit storm coming it’s way. Don't worry. The sheeple, starving though they may be, are too dumb to make the mental connection between their power to vote and their lot in life. They'll crawl to the ballot box, starving and in rags, and still vote ANC next time. Been trying since March
