A South African woman alleges suffering a double blow after being sexually assaulted at an airport in Egypt

Rewind to March 10: Madihlaba was on her way back to South Africa, having attended a medical conference in Abu Dhabi, capital of the United Arab Emirates. He then removed the facial mask she had on and tried to kiss her while fondling her breasts and touching her private parts – all while she repeatedly said no.“It’s horrible … it’s as good as if it did happen (being raped), even though I escaped. I feel so scared. To some extent now, when I have to go out, I look at myself and ask: Am I decent? Am I right?” she said, her voice quivering.

“They kept asking me, ‘What do you want to do?’ I was in tears … There was no sympathy, or at least some empathy, from the police. I asked them: ‘Are you going to give me another ticket? Are you going to give me a place to stay?’ No one answered; they just looked at me. So, I said: ‘I want to go home; this place is horrible.’”

DIRCO_ZA PandorNaledi the other day you where lecturing south Africans about being xenophobic while your sitting on backside not doing your job! why have you not taken this up with Egypt?

💔

Maybe they think Black women are useless. Arab way.

Lets see if our state takes this up with them, this shouldn’t be happening.

Egyptians don't like blacks in general, it's even worse if u r not a moslem

M

Arab countries have a superiority complex towards blacks. They automatically assume a boss and servant approach. I worked with Egyptian and Saudi coleagues, shit attitude and they struggle with mathematics and computer skills. need templates all the time.

Egyptians (Arabic) in public areas are aggro towards Black (especially) women. When we visited, the women in our company quickly figured the only way to be safe is to be accompanied by a male colleague. It's not even the cat calling but physical threat. Dark ages

What the Moody’s downgrade means for SAWell no use moaning about it now. Tito needs to act with the support of Govt. Quarantine the RET gang and looters...Their fuckery has brought us to this. Besides that irrespective even if SA were above board would it have saved us from the global pandemic meltdown ... Am not questioning the downgrading but rather it's timing. This will make the fight against the virus much more expensive for the country which is not fair. Do you trust the rating agencies? I don't
