NEWSFLASH: Opposition parties criticise Winde on rail and housing during Western Cape SOPA debate By Suné Payne

Rail, community safety, housing and the Western Cape’s controversial safety plan once again came under the spotlight on Friday morning as legislature members debated Western Cape premier Alan Winde’s State of the Province at the Rocklands Civic Centre in Mitchells Plain.Western Cape crime, rail take centre stage at Winde’s State of the Province Address – again

On transport, Dugmore said, “The solution is not the DA proposal to provincialise rail. It is about working together across all spheres of government… it is only through working together with communities and commuters, Prasa, SAPS and other stakeholders that we will ensure public transport that is safe, reliable and affordable.”

He added: “The premier says they are committed to spatial integration… but the DA leader in the province only buys the outermost, worst located land for government housing. He refuses to use well-located land that the government already owns.” Christians added that the ACDP was working with community structures such as Community Policing Forums and neighbourhood watches that would work alongside metro police and the South African Police Service so crime can be reduced.

It's hilarious, really. When the DA criticises the ANC the cadres get all offended. 'All you do is criticise'..... And then there's the Western Cape.

Choosers of lowest common denominator can't bear pragmatism, productivity and progress. Especially when they can't get their greedy hands on it.

Green-eye. Opposition parties need to sweep in front of their dirty front doors. Plus some.

Western Cape produced half of new jobs in Q4: Alan Winde in state of the province addressDelivering his state of the province address in Mitchells Plain on Thursday, Winde said 24,000 jobs were created in the last quarter of 2019. I wonder what they're doing different? Drop in the ocean. Whole country is screwed Interested to hear from Twitter morons how creating jobs, providing social housing, increasing policing, seeking to solve the electricity problem and pushing to provide better education is 'racist'. DA clearly showing the rest of SA what is possible, but yeah, keep voting ANC.

Cape Town refugee verification process finally beginsOfficials had to wait until each of the refugees had been served with a copy of this week's court order. Is this...xenophobia? I think it is overdue for our borders and regulations to be tightened. All countries have rules and regulations yet it is expected for SA to be free for all. If they ilegal send them back.
