Netflix announces Queen Sono premiere date

QUEEN IS COMING. February 28th 2020. Queen Sono, Netflix's first African Original., the first original African series will officially premiere on 28 February 2020.

Netflix South Africa announced the premiere date with a short clip featuring Pearl Thusi, who plays the lead character in the series."PEARL THUSI AS QUEEN SONO!!!! WHAT!!!????? THANK YOU GOD!!!! THANK YOU!!! I LIFT YOUR NAME!!! THANK YOU TO MY ANCESTORS!!! THANK YOU TO MY FAMILY!!! OH HOW I WISH MY MOM WAS HERE!!!!", said Thusi in a post on Instagram.

The six-part series is directed by South African comedian Kagiso Lediga with Tamsin Andersson as the co-executive producer.
