The Mzansi Youth Choir’s performance on America’s Got Talent stirred the audience to a crescendo of chants, echoing the words ‘golden buzzer’ throughout the auditorium.
Clad in elegant white attire, the choir captivated with an emotional rendition of Nightbirde’s ‘It’s Ok.’ Their delivery struck a chord with not only the spectators but also Judge Simon Cowell, who was moved to tears. This achievement comes just days after Musa Motha, a South African-born amputee dancer, advanced to the finals of Britain’s Got Talent. It has also been four years since the Ndlovu Youth Choir competed on America’s Got Talent.The judges and host Terry Crews joined in for a standing ovation as the choristers were overcome with emotion, and they gave the choir a golden buzzer.Receiving a golden buzzer means that the Mzansi Youth Choir has automatically advanced to the semi-finals in August 2023.
