Mpofu argued,"these are two contesting theories [...] and there is no other way in which this counter-narrative, with respect, can be presented at this commission without cross-examining Minister Gordhan." Mpofu referred to the late former President Nelson Mandela's willingness to undergo cross-examination.Zondo said the reason the rules allow for implicated persons to put up a version is so he can see the gap between differing versions.Zondo reserved judgment.
