Finance minister Tito Mboweni said he will review the appointment of a former director of Tongaat Hulett, a former corporate heavyweight that was brought to the brink amid one of SA's biggest accounting scandals, to head up the country’s main regulator of audit firms.

Labour minister concerned with large number of non-compliant employersLabour Minister Thulas Nxesi says labour inspectors have found low compliance with certain employers to safety measures to mitigate the spread of the coronavirus. The Ministry must stop being concerned and apply the Law against employers who are non-compliant. He should also be concerned about IIF not processing employee claims.
