A wedding planner and a real estate agent compete to win the hearts and budgets of couples who must choose between a fairytale wedding and a dream home.Four stars for a reality show? It might sound a bit ridiculous, but hear me out. Just based on the trailer and concept,sounds like another silly American reality TV concept where everything is staged, and nothing is real.
With the more down-to-earth city comes more normal people - young couples who want to get started with their lives together, parents who've never had the time to get hitched. A soldier who wants to know his fiancée is taken care of when he's deployed and lesbian couples that understandably wish to celebrate their love with a big bash.
As for the hosts, it did take me a few episodes to like Nichole and Sarah. At first, they come off a bit pushy and use some deeply personal stories from the couples to sell their vision to them. But once you get used to them, you see that they come from a place of love and want to make the couples' dreams a reality.
It's especially impressive when you think of the timeline of when this was filmed - at the end of 2019 and wrapping up in 2020. Covid-19 even makes an appearance a few times, where weddings had to be scaled back, but they still managed to make their fairy tale ending a reality.is a surprisingly heartfelt reality show - a good watch for when you need a little pick-me-up and want to bask in other people's happiness.
