Former South African Post Office CEO Mark Barnes says the Post Office could not be reformed during his tenure - despite his best efforts - because of government micromanagement.

Barnes was speaking to the Cape Town Press Club on Thursday afternoon. Since leaving the Post Office in 2019, he has been a vocal critic of government's failure to arrest the country's economic decline, or the failure of several key parastatals. Barnes founded the JSE-listed Purple Group, which owns popular trading platform EasyEquities. They cannot trust themselves as they know how much theft and corruption is taking place. So no surprise that they don't trust others they have appointed. The anc are a bunch of common thieves and gangsters.

True, but moreso, the ministers want to be seen as 'hero' managers, those that come in to 'save the day'. All they do is get in the way because they're clueless and incompetent. Every. Single. One. And they all need to be fired in 2024
