Marawa had met the pay channel’s management on Wednesday and was told that his contract would not be renewed. SuperSport confirmed the decision had been taken, saying that a"restructure" of its football coverage didn't include Marawa.

If anybody in sports journalism in South Africa deserves respect it is Robert Marawa. He has served the industry with dignity, professionalism and put black sports presenters on the map. Sending an sms is cowardly and pathetic. He deserves better than MultiChoiceGRP anyway.
