Manchester United in 'secret talks' with new manager

With Ralf Rangnick only appointed on an interim basis, Manchester United are reportedly in"secret talks" with one of their shortlisted managerial candidates.

Rangnick’s short-term spell at the United helm is only expected to last until the end of the season before he takes up a consultancy role. It is understood that in his next role, the German boss will help oversee the appointment of a permanent manager, who will take over the reins in the 2022/23 season.

United’s interest in Pochettino became apparent back in November 2021 when the English side sacked then-manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, perHowever, in a pre-match press conference ahead of PSG’s visit to Manchester City in the UEFA Champions League in November, Pochettino expressed that he would remain as the manager of the French giants despite the speculation surrounding his future at the time.
