The People’s Dialogue founder has slammed the tripartite alliance for trying to prevent the finance minister from turning to the World Bank and IMF for a bailout.

Without mentioning him by name, they said his public comments suggested he was willing to hand over the country’s sovereignty to the IMF. The secretariat rather wanted government to get the Reserve Bank to play a bigger role in the country. They also wanted South Africa to look into taking industrial retirement funds to navigate the crisis, and they called for the Brics development bank – funded by Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa – to get involved, among numerous other demands.

Herman Mashaba addresses the media at a press conference at the Johannesburg city council, 21 October 2019. Picture: Tracy Lee Stark. “The level of arrogance displayed by Cosatu and the SACP is beyond imagination, to try to dictate how and from where South Africa will receive funding, when their unhealthy influence over government has largely put us in the position where we have few potential funding options left.”

Don't take IMF and WB money CyrilRamaphosa

Mashaba is a born VISIONARY....

Is Mashaba aware that the world is following China now?

Mashaba is right! However, we don't have to get IMF or any other loans if we recover all the stolen and wasted money Magashule presided over before and he became Premier of the Free State.

Of course. But the 50% idiots in SA still believe, the ANC is a blessing for the country. So nothing will change.

Mashaba was an Apartheid spie, spent his life working as an enermy agent, so it’s in his best interest to see the sovereign of our country back to the hands of Apartheid architects. His bosses

Whoever is joining Mashaba in his stokvel must know they joining counter revolutionaries & tools of imperialist. It is well known what the IMF & WB do to countries by influencing policy. The mistake ppl make is think Mashaba is for them & 4get that he is a true Capitalist.

Does the man even realise the impact of taking IMF money on social grants dependents and mitigation of poverty?
