Liverpool eye £60 million fill-in for Sadio Mane & Mohamed Salah

Liverpool are reportedly close to signing a replacement for Africa Cup of Nations-bound Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane.

The aforementioned duo, along with Naby Keita, have jetted off to prepare for the upcoming African tournamentWith the competition scheduled to start on 9 January and end on 6 February, the Liverpool stars could miss seven games depending on their nation’s progression in the competition.The Sun are reporting that Porto star Luis Diaz could be brought in by the Reds this month for a fee in the region of £60 million , which would make him the club's all-time second most expensive signing.Jurgen Klopp saw the Colombian winger in action when the Porto faced his side in this season's UEFA Champions League group stages.Diaz’s performances reportedly impressed the German manager, and, with the top four race heating up, Klopp has seemingly decided to sanction the move.

The British outlet claims that Diaz has a £67 million release clause but the Premier League giants are hoping to get him for slightly less, but that may prove to be a tough ask as he still has two and a half years left on his current deal.
