Nicolas Verwey died in hospital on Thursday 16 June 2022 after a brutal and heinous attack on him by a group of striking and rioting farm workers.
A mob of striking workers attacked a car in which Nicolas and another guard were traveling. The mob dragged Nicolas from the car, stabbed him in his shoulder with sharpened sticks, mercilessly beat him and jumped and stomped on his head whilst he was lying on the ground. Why would workers bite the hand that feeds them by attacking the property of the same people who pay them a salary? And how much of this violence, destruction and murder is as a result of the ongoing hate speech and incitement?
