King Zwelithini criticises introduction of sex education in schools via SABCNewsOnline

area in Nquthu in northern KwaZulu-Natal during the commemoration of the Battle of Isandlwana.

The King has called on parents to reject the introduction of subjects that he feels, will promote bad behaviour. Meanwhile, KwaZulu-Natal Premier Sihle Zikalala says the Battle of Isandlwana is still relevant because it is a reminder of the Zulu people’s struggle against land dispossession. “It represents heroism of the Zulu nation which fought a war against the British army, which the war was a reflection of the fight against the dispossession of land. It will be remembered that they wanted to conquer the Zulu army so that they will take control of the land. So, as government, we take this as part of the struggle for resistance against colonialism, land dispossession and oppression of our people.

Financial managemant *wealth generating studies can be introduced insteady

When we tell u never compare african monarchs to that of the west u attack

I think it's important to be 'sex positive'. There is nothing wrong with these urges teens feel they must be responsible with them. Rather teach them about responsibility. Being a modern kid must be difficult.

Maths and Science much more important

Our Kings should leave science to those who actually studied it and learn to get educated opinions on certain things hayibo!

Nam ngivumelana nesilo samabandla 100%.

That's hypocritical of this man. How many wives make up his harem?

I thought the Department emphasized that it's 'Sexuality Education' and not Sex Education. Suddenly everyone will criticise it because..... mandthule phof ndingathukwa yigenge.

I fully support His Majesty the King why our government is prioritizing the teaching of sex to the children

The funny thing with the comments is that all those who bash the king will never ever get to sit down and teach their own kids about sex. Why can't kids be taught financial education?

Bayede baba bayabeda laba!!!!

Sex is not something that should be taught. It something that you learn through experience, privately. There are far more important matters to introduce to young minds

I criticise King Zwelithini's elitist tendencies.

It is the new form of presentation that is not right. Children do already have sex education in school.

A pedophile lecturing us about sex education 🤔

If 12-year-olds are becoming pregnant; fathers and uncles are raping their daughters/nieces; young girls are infected with HIV by older men regularly, the importance of sex education cannot be emphasised enough. Moreover, kids already know more than we think. They must be guided.

I feel like it takes away my rights as a parent.

Bad idea

How will sex education at schools promote bad behaviour? Isn't that the youngest pregnant school child was from KZN? Doesn't KZN have the highest number of HIV+people? Ai le nkosi 🙆🏾‍♀️

Mxm once a person hits puberty then hormones will play their role, they need to know what's going and what all that means, rather than rejecting it all together parents and the department must find the middle ground.

It is unethical these Whites want to take our children's innocence. Technically our kiks are intoduced to porn thanks to MYANC CyrilRamaphosa

It’s better to be taught to kids by professionals than learning wrong things on streets , if you don’t teach your child the world will teach him its ways . King is wrong this time

Kid's are already having sex, as young as fourteen girls are already having babies, so whats the issue they already know everything, whether it's being taught at school or not. 🤣😂😱😠

Why doesn't he just stick to TRIBALISM!!

I don't normally agree with this champ, but sex education is Very bad! Bring back religious education...

I don't get it, thousands of half naked young girls visit him every year. They are also checked if they haven't slept with men. Is not that sex education 😜

I'm with him on this one 100%.

Since l have known zwelithini its my first time to hear him relevant

I've beeen for one of the cultural leaders would intervene in this matter. I mean, 10 years old and already you learn about reproduction? Curiosity killed the cat remember...

I can’t believe our leaders/parents still regard sex education as taboo in 2020☹️
